A Bolt alternative for business owners

Bolt is a coding agent in the browser. If you want a Bolt alternative that builds a business website without asking you to manage code, Blaubok sets one up with leads, bookings and payments built in, on your own accounts.

The short answer

Blaubok or Bolt?

Bolt, from StackBlitz, runs a full development environment in your browser and puts an AI agent in charge of it. You describe an app, it writes the code, and you can watch and edit every file as it goes. That makes it a strong tool for developers and for anyone happy to work close to the code. Blaubok is built for the business owner. You describe your business rather than the app, and the engine supplies the parts that would otherwise be code to write and test: the CRM, WhatsApp alerts, bookings, checkout, a blog with an AI writer, staff roles. There is no editor to learn. You change things by chat, and edits wait on a preview until you publish. If you want to build software and see the code, Bolt is the better fit. If you want a working business site on GitHub, Supabase and Vercel accounts you own, start with Blaubok.

Who it’s for

Which one fits you?

  • You’re a developer, or want to work directly in the code as the AI writes it.
  • You’re building a custom web or mobile app, not a business website.

  • You want plain source code for every part of the app.

Pick Blaubok if

  • You run a business and want leads, bookings and payments working from the first build.

  • You want each built-in feature charged once per project, never on rebuilds.

Pricing

How each one charges

We describe how each tool charges rather than list prices, because prices change often.

How Bolt charges

Bolt sells subscription plans with a monthly allowance of tokens, which the AI uses as it reads and writes your code. There is a free plan with daily and monthly limits, and paid plans raise the allowance. Because the AI reads your project to change it, a larger project can use more tokens for each request. Hosting, custom domains and databases through Bolt depend on the plan you choose. Check Bolt’s pricing page for the current tiers and limits.

How Blaubok charges

There is no required subscription. New accounts get free welcome credits, no card needed. After that, buy credit packs as you go, and the credits never expire, or take an optional monthly plan. AI chat uses credits per message, and each built-in feature is charged once per project, never on rebuilds. GitHub, Supabase and Vercel bill you directly, and all three have free tiers. If your plan and credits run out, there is a 14-day grace period, then the engine is committed into your repo so the site keeps building on its own.

How to move from Bolt to Blaubok

  1. Keep a copy of your code

Export your Bolt project so you keep the code and can refer to it while you rebuild.

  2. Create your Blaubok account

Sign up for free welcome credits, no card needed, and connect GitHub, Supabase and Vercel. All three have free tiers.

  3. Describe the business, then the pages

Explain who your customers are and what they need to do on the site: enquire, book, pay. The chat picks the engine features for that and plans your pages.

  4. Build and review

Click Build. The site deploys to your Vercel in about five minutes, and later edits land on a preview branch until you click Publish. Vercel keeps every deployment, so you can roll back.

  5. Carry over custom pieces

If your Bolt app had logic the engine does not cover, a developer can add it to your pages in the GitHub repo. Your own pages, components and config are yours to edit.

FAQ

Bolt vs Blaubok: common questions

Is Blaubok a good Bolt alternative?

For a business website, yes. Bolt is a coding agent: it writes an app and shows you every file. Blaubok is a website builder for businesses: the CRM, bookings, WhatsApp alerts and payments come from its engine, and you describe your business instead of reviewing code. For a custom app, Bolt is the better fit.

Can I see and edit the code with Blaubok?

Yes, but not in the browser. Your pages, components and config are in your own GitHub repo, so you or a developer can clone it and edit it in any editor. The built-in features come from the Blaubok engine, a compiled package the site installs like any library, which Blaubok keeps up to date for you.

Where is Bolt better?

Bolt is better when you want to build software and stay close to the code. Its in-browser editor shows every file the AI writes, it can build web and mobile apps with any logic you like, and the result is plain source code throughout. You can also start without connecting accounts of your own.

Does Blaubok charge per token like Bolt?

No. Blaubok uses credits. AI chat uses credits per message, at the rate shown in the model picker, and each built-in feature costs a one-time fee per project the first time you build with it, never again on rebuilds. Credits never expire, and there is no required subscription.

What happens to my site if I stop paying?

It keeps running on your Vercel, with the code in your GitHub and the data in your Supabase. If your plan and credits run out, there is a 14-day grace period. After that, the engine version your site uses is committed into your repo, so it keeps building and deploying on its own. What stops is AI edits, new features and engine updates.

What if an AI edit breaks something?

Chat edits land on a preview branch first, and your live site changes only when you click Publish. Vercel keeps every deployment, so you can roll back to an earlier version in one click. If you are stuck, email info@clickfq.com and we reply within 48 hours.
